Thar Coal Mine Stripping Project, Pakistan
The Thar Coal Mine, located in the Thar Desert in the southeastern part of Sindh Province, Pakistan, is the largest coal deposit discovered in Pakistan and the seventh largest lignite coal mine in the world, as well as the largest in Asia. The coal reserve is estimated to be about 175 billion tons.
The Thar Coal Mine Block II project is a key project under the Belt and Road Initiative and a model project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Since the project's launch in 2016, Handar Explosives has been involved in the mining stripping, operations and maintenance, expansion stripping, and coal extraction. Aurora Gold Mine, Guyana Phase I Surface Mining Project - Main and Auxiliary Shafts and Supporting Works
Operated by Zijin Mining in Guyana, the Aurora Gold Mine has an underground mining capacity of 6,000 tons/day(1.98 million tons/year), with the main ore body processing 5,000 tons/day, and the two satellite ore bodies processing a total of 1,000 tons/day. This project utilizes backfill mining methods, and a paste fill plant has been constructed on the surface for pumping.

Jiulong Copper Mine Open-Pit Stripping Project
Maizhokunggar County Tibet Autonomous Region
Currently the highest-altitude (5300–5500 meters) ultra-large open-pit polymetallic copper mine in Asia.
Large-scale stripping equipment is deployed at the site, including YZ-55D rotary drills, WK-35 electric shovels, WK-12 electric shovels, NTE240 and NTE260 haul trucks, TR100 mining trucks, and Handar Times HC105E pure electric mining trucks.
Since the commencement of the project, equipment performance has been stable, with excellent output and standardized safety management. High-altitude region (4,569–5,118 meters) with complex geological formations and permafrost, posing significant excavation challenges.
By combining on-site geological trenching with rapid sampling and chemical analysis, the project obtained accurate data on ore-body boundaries and mineralogical variations. This enabled customized ore-rock separation blasting plans, thereby achieving scientific ore blending.
A complete technical approach was developed—"geological sampling + chemical assay → ore-rock interface identification → benchmark delineation → blasting design → professional-grade selective mining"—to significantly improve resource recovery efficiency.
